First off let’s get this straight, The printer

manufacturers DON’T want you refilling ink

cartridges !

Why? They make HUGE profits on the ink cartridges. Most cartridges only hold 12-15 ml of ink not much some even only hold about 5ml. When you figure out the cost of that ink you’ll be glad to hear about Gas thats $5.00. Did you know your paying about $6-10,000 dollars for your ink already?

The printer manufacturers Also like to say ” Hey If you don’t use OUR proprietary ink cartridges you will VOID your warranty! NOT!

All the manufacturers’ warranties for the printers we used state explicitly that they don’t cover damage caused by other vendors’ ink. But third-party vendors say the federal Magnusson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act forbids companies from dictating customers’ choice of aftermarket products.

Ron Katz, a patent attorney with the firm Manatt, Phelps, & Phillips who has litigated on behalf of aftermarket vendors, says that “mere use of a third-party cartridge does not void the warranty if the cartridge does not cause the damage.”

Refilling ink cartridges has often not been considered a very suitable option by many because they don’t know the real reasons for which recycling are good for us as well as for the environment we live in.

Printer ink cartridges are made of non-biodegradable material such as plastic. One important drawback of making new ink printer cartridge from this type of material is that it doesn’t get decomposed into the soil in few months or years time. Printer ink cartridges can take hundreds of year before it again becomes part of the ecosystem. Talking green all the time seems a small talk if we aren’t willing to take even simple steps that can make a significant impact in the end.

A key reason for people not going for the refilling of their cartridge is their lack of knowledge for the availability of quality ink. Bad experiences of the few, count for the overall bad word of mouth going against the refilling of printer ink  cartridges.  You just need to know the right manufacturer which has the satisfying quality of refill ink for your printers.

Costs count a lot while using printers. Refilling an inkjet cartridge may save you up to 60 to 70 % of the total cost, which sounds really nice. From individuals to large organizations with heavy printing assignments done on inkjet printer, costs can be dented into and significant reductions in printing expenses can be achieved.

Mother Nature is already struggling with the short of key elements used in making of cartridges. Using existing cartridge by refilling ink cartridges in it saves a lot of aluminum, and oil. The manufacturing process for the inkjet printer cartridge also shortens as the carbon monoxide affects on the environment are a non reversible damage to the environment. This can only be stopped once we refill ink cartridges instead of buying a new one.

Most of the inkjet printer ink cartridges are made to be refilled many times over. Mostly printer ink cartridges can last from 5 to 20 refills without sacrificing the quality of the printing. You just need to check the type of cartridge you have and how many times can it be refilled successfully without compensating the printing experience.
